Job Summary

Build and evolve a lakehouse analytics platform powering secure, trustworthy, and cost-efficient data access at scale. Define the long-term roadmap for Apache Iceberg-based storage, governance, and performance across Spark and Snowflake, while partnering with Analytics Engineering, ML, BI, SRE, and infrastructure teams. You’ll lead technical strategy, design access controls and privacy enforcement, improve analytics foundations (dbt/CI/CD), and help operationalize production readiness and on-call support.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and drive the long-term technical roadmap for the lakehouse platform across Apache Iceberg, Spark, Snowflake, and cloud-native storage, balancing scalability, reliability, governance, performance, and cost.
•Architect and implement platform capabilities to make analytical data secure, trustworthy, discoverable, and easy for engineering, analytics, machine learning, and business teams to use.
•Design and operate governed data access capabilities across Snowflake and the lakehouse platform, including RBAC, dynamic data masking, cataloging, lineage, classification, and privacy policy enforcement.
•Partner with Analytics Engineering to strengthen analytics foundations, evolving data modeling, transformation pipelines, testing frameworks, documentation standards, and data quality practices for self-service analytics.
•Operate and optimize lakehouse systems at scale, including schema evolution, partitioning, compaction, observability, incident response, production support readiness, and Snowflake/query performance and cost improvements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 181,000 - 241,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of software engineering, data infrastructure, or data platform engineering, including 2+ years of technical leadership responsibilities.
•Hands-on experience architecting and operating large-scale OLAP/lakehouse or analytical data infrastructure using Apache Iceberg, Spark, and Snowflake.
•Hands-on Snowflake knowledge, including access control, dynamic data masking, query optimization, and cost management.
•Experience with data platform fundamentals such as table formats, schema evolution, partitioning, compaction, observability, and cost optimization.
•Proficiency in Python, SQL, or JVM-based languages, plus experience with dbt (or equivalent) transformation frameworks and CI/CD practices.
