Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the commercial underwriting process, independently underwriting, structuring, and documenting prospect and client transactions
  • •Own ongoing portfolio management by monitoring performance/trends, maintaining risk rating integrity, and completing annual reviews and compliance/regulatory reviews
  • •Manage amendment and waiver activity within the assigned portfolio and proactively define client credit solutions
  • •Expand client relationships through consistent client calling and apply credit policy/pricing/structure knowledge to meet risk acceptance criteria
  • •Mentor and coach junior PMs, associates, and analysts, including supporting performance review processes

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
  • •5+ years of progressive experience in middle market credit and/or mid-corporate underwriting, leveraged finance, sponsor finance, and portfolio management in a bank or direct lending environment
  • •Mastery-level proficiency with MS Office desktop applications
  • •Strong interpersonal skills and solid written/verbal communication
  • •Sound credit skills with strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
