Key Responsibilities

•Adhere to Metals Recycling Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and provide a safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
•Inspect scrap metal shipments from truck, rail car, or ship to confirm conformance to specifications and absence of environmental hazards.
•Record inspection data (weight, grade, content, quantity) and notify supervisors of problems, recommending remedial procedures.
•Collaborate with the commercial department to support quality and consistency of customer deliveries.
•Direct safe and orderly unloading of scrap-delivering vehicles and provide backup assistance throughout the yard; report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions requiring maintenance or repair.
