Job Summary

Oversee site supervision for construction projects, primarily across multiple sites, ensuring quality control/assurance standards and maintaining rigorous safety and quality records. Lead earthworks supervision (Level 1), direct labour/equipment/material activities, and communicate project progress to managers. Comply with SHEQ obligations, foster a strong safety culture, mentor junior engineers, and support client-focused delivery through coordination with other disciplines. Provide input across multiple projects of varying complexity.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee and provide site supervision for construction projects, ensuring strict adherence to quality control and assurance standards across multiple sites.
•Undertake earthworks supervision (Level 1), supervise labour/equipment/materials, and maintain safety and quality records.
•Collaborate with project teams, communicate progress to managers, and contribute to project success.
•Comply with role-specific SHEQ obligations and lead/foster a strong safety culture for staff well-being.
•Foster an engaged workforce through mentoring, training, and development, while ensuring governance, quality, and risk management compliance and supporting client needs coordination.

Key Requirements

•Typically 10 to 15 years of experience in laboratory testing and earthworks supervision, with the ability to mentor junior engineers in construction activities.
•Experience in medium to large civil infrastructure construction with a focus on Quality Control and Assurance.
•Experience supervising earthworks at Level 1 (GITA) and Level 2 (GTA) in line with AS 3798 requirements.
•Experience in earthworks testing and compaction, including familiarity with in situ testing equipment such as DCPs and (preferably) PANDA testing knowledge.
•Strong safety and quality mindset, excellent communication/time management/organizational skills, and computer literacy with Windows applications (MS Teams, SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Word), plus a willingness to travel (4WD drivers’ licence desirable/required as stated).
