Job Summary

Engineer (Roads) role in the Roads team based in Truro, focusing on developing engineering solutions for highway and development infrastructure, coordinating across planning, design and construction stages. Key Responsibilities

•Develop engineering solutions for projects, or work packages of varying scale, complexity, value and project stages, and could be working across several projects at any given time.
•Be actively engaged, or responsible depending on experience, for ensuring your projects are delivered to budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements.
•Work collaboratively with clients, key stakeholders and internal disciplines.
•Support Project and Technical Delivery Leads in planning, programming, and pricing of proposals and deliverables.
•You will be supported by a team of experienced and developing technical staff of various grades, to whom you will be expected to provide guidance and support as appropriate.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or suitable equivalent
•Working towards IEng or CEng with demonstrable progress
•Knowledge and experience of highway and/or development infrastructure design across project life cycle
•Knowledge of design standards and codes (Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Manual for Streets, TSRGD, LTN 1/20, SuDS)
•Proficiency with relevant software such as Autodesk Civils 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, InfoDrainage, Causeway and/or PDS
