Job Summary

Support safety outcomes across Qantas Group’s regional business areas by advising leaders and frontline teams on safety strategies, policies, and compliance. Drive a proactive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and implementation of safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead specialist support for audits, inspections, and investigations, analyze safety performance data, and partner with stakeholders to manage workplace risks across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the development, implementation, and oversight of safety strategies, frameworks, policies, and procedures across regional business areas.
•Provide expert health, safety and environmental advice and support to leaders and employees across multiple business units.
•Promote safe systems of work and support compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and internal safety standards.
•Coach and mentor leaders to strengthen safety capability and foster a positive safety culture.
•Support audits, inspections, and investigations, including evidence gathering, corrective action management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Requirements

•Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or higher).
•Minimum two years’ experience in a Workplace Health and Safety role.
•Sound understanding of WHS legislation and safety management principles.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage leaders, employees, and regulators.
