Job Summary

Plan and deliver outstanding primary teaching and learning for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) at Bateen World Academy. Create a positive learning climate, set clear objectives and targets, differentiate for SEN/EAL/G&T students, and use assessment data to drive instruction. Manage classroom discipline, report to parents, contribute to curriculum development, support the CAS programme, mentor Year 12/13 students, and take part in staff duties and examination-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan outstanding teaching and learning aligned with the school Teaching and Learning Policy, including lesson structure, pace, challenge, and engagement.
•Identify learning objectives and targets, differentiate for SEN (POD), EAL and G&T students, and use assessment for learning and performance data to inform planning.
•Use ICT to enhance learning and progress; maintain discipline in line with the Behaviour for Learning Policy.
•Mark and assess student work regularly, systematically record progress, and prepare and present informative reports to parents.
•Contribute to curriculum and enrichment through CPD, CAS activities, academic mentoring/extended essay supervision, and cover/invigilate duties as assigned by the Principal.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education.
•2 years teaching experience.
•Very good/outstanding teacher with success teaching across an ability range.
•Experience teaching PYP or the British curriculum.
•Knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations and commitment to CPD; ability to work under pressure and support safeguarding requirements.
