Job Summary

On-call field archaeologists to monitor construction projects, perform monitoring and survey tasks, data collection, and field data documentation in Southern California with potential rotations to nearby states. Work with Ever Resources Team to support NEPA/NHPA/NAGPRA compliance, using ESRI FieldMaps and other digital tools to document findings and ensure regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate in cultural resource monitoring during preconstruction and construction activities.
•Contribute to cultural resource investigations in support of client projects with compliance to NEPA, NHPA, NAGPRA, and relevant laws.
•Assist in field data collection and documentation, including data entry and reporting.
•Travel for field assignments, including remote project rotations up to 10 days.
•Assist senior archaeologists and field supervisors in conducting monitoring and survey tasks in Southern California and surrounding areas.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 37.64 - 44.05 hourly

Key Requirements

•BA/BS degree (MS/MA preferred) in anthropology, archaeology, historical archaeology
•3+ years related archaeological field experience in California
•Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment, and excellent oral and written communication skills
•Working knowledge of cultural resources and environmental regulations and North American archaeology including Southern California, Mojave Desert, and Great Basin
•Experience with ESRI FieldMaps
