Lead mission system and payload capability development for an advanced airborne platform on the Maneuver Dominance team. Key Responsibilities

•Execute a right-sized Agile Systems Engineering approach per the Systems Engineering Management Plan for the Thunder Mission System and Payloads.
•Support design teams with the evolution and progress of Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) and represent Systems Engineering in PDR/CDR/TRR/SRB governance.
•Own and maintain functional decomposition, system breakdown structure (SBS), product breakdown structure (PBS), and architecture diagrams.
•Develop key systems engineering design artifacts including System Description Documents (SDDs) and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
•Shape test and evaluation efforts through TEMP, representative Hardware-in-Lab/Hardware-in-the-Loop environments, and support prototype and production build/ground/flight test activities with verification-related tasks.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 165,000 - 210,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
•8+ years of industry Systems Engineering experience, including safety-critical hardware and software systems in Defense or Aerospace (e.g., crewed aircraft, rotorcraft, EVTOL, UAS, or weapon systems).
•Demonstrable systems engineering proficiency, including eliciting requirements with the customer/end-user and collaborating with design teams.
•Experience developing systems engineering artifacts (including pragmatic verification and validation plans) and deep understanding of test and evaluation for developmental, acceptance, and operational testing.
•Familiarity with tools such as Teamcenter, JIRA, JAMA, Cameo, and/or Ansys, plus exposure to standards/processes such as ARP-4754, ARP-4761, DO-178C, DO-254, and MIL-STD-882E.
•Proficiency in coordinating change management processes.
•Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for presenting developed artifacts.
•Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance in the United States, United Kingdom, or Australia.
