Key Responsibilities

  • •Implements duties of the health and safety position, including onboarding & training, reporting, incident investigation, and coordinating Threat and Hazard Impact Risk Assessments (T/HIRA).
  • •Provides SME advice and guidance on health and safety matters across the program.
  • •Collaborates with the contractor to ensure site-specific safety plan measures are effectively implemented.
  • •Performs periodic assessments/audits, identifies opportunities for improvement, and recommends corrective actions.
  • •Provides management-level reporting and escalates key risks to decision makers.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 82,000 - 120,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS + 4 years or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • •Typically, minimum of 7 years of professional experience in on-site health and safety role (inspection, coordinator, onboarding and training, and/or reporting)
  • •Experience in construction environments; major infrastructure/aviation program experience is an asset
  • •Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing effective health and safety management plans
  • •Diploma/certificate in health and safety and/or equivalent training experience
