Key Responsibilities

  • •Learn, understand, and implement biosecurity policies and procedures.
  • •Follow animal welfare policies and the Smithfield Injury Prevention System (SIPS).
  • •Maintain compliance with EMS and applicable laws and procedures.
  • •Unplug, clean, and perform preventive maintenance on sewer discharge lines.
  • •Use a sewer camera to identify plugs and report environmental issues immediately to a supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Class A CDL with tanker endorsement (or willingness to attain).
  • •High school diploma or GED, required.
  • •Able to lift 70 lbs unassisted with full range of motion.
  • •Must have a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • •Must be able to work an average 45-hour week (about 9 hours/day) and perform weekend, evening, and holiday work as needed.
