Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide guidance, strategy, task allocation, governance, and support to the Production Engineering team within the manufacturing environment.
  • •Oversee and govern the design of manufacturing systems aligned with assigned products, ensuring safe systems of work, safe equipment, and processes.
  • •Serve as the technical interface between production operations (shop floor) and other engineering disciplines to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • •Own Design for Manufacture and manufacturing-system change impact interfaces between Advanced Manufacturing and design projects, and lead resolution of manufacturability issues.
  • •Lead improvements to the manufacturing system, maintain configuration management, ensure MRP inputs/processes are correct, and mentor less-senior staff while representing Production Engineering at review boards.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience in a production engineering capacity within a commercial and/or defence environment.
  • •Communicate effectively and build relationships with people at all levels (verbal and written skills).
  • •Degree-level engineering qualifications and engineering experience enabling eligibility for admission to the Institution of Engineers, Australia (Chartered Professional).
  • •Demonstrated practical and extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • •Defence security clearance required or eligibility to obtain, including eligibility to be cleared for ITAR regulations.
