Key Responsibilities

  • •Investigate, interview, and inspect property damage, driving to the site within the assigned territory to assess losses.
  • •Prepare estimates, make recommendations, handle coverage questions, and support litigation needs as required.
  • •Set and maintain reserves, review claim reports/materials, determine coverage and claim value, and issue or decline payment.
  • •Document claim files for closure, recognize subrogation opportunities, and initiate appropriate actions.
  • •Service the assigned territory to bring claims to conclusion, assist with training, and participate on the Catastrophe Team when required.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED and five years of claims handling experience, or a bachelor’s degree and two years of claims handling experience (or equivalent).
  • •Ability to live in the assigned territory (Kentucky), ideally Louisville/Jefferson county and/or surrounding areas.
  • •Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • •Willingness to obtain and maintain any required licenses.
  • •Successful completion of the Associate in Claims (AIC) program is preferred.
