Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply hydraulic principles for river, storm, and wastewater infrastructure planning, including stormwater networks, culverts, bridges, and open channel/2D surface flows.
  • •Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models and interpret hydraulic model outputs for infrastructure planning and urban hydrology.
  • •Build, update, or test modelling scenarios using Innovyze ICM and/or Tuflow, including schematisation, gap analysis, validation, calibration, and performance assessment.
  • •Interpret and manipulate geospatial datasets using ArcGIS or QGIS and ensure model accuracy across model build, calibration, and masterplanning.
  • •Support proposals and budgets, liaise with sector leadership and peer groups across India and New Zealand, and review junior colleagues’ work with QA and compliance to standards.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of experience in hydraulic modelling for large-scale river, storm, and wastewater infrastructure projects, including 4+ years hands-on with TuFlow/Innovyze ICM.
  • •Highly proficient in Innovyze ICM for stormwater hydraulic modelling or Tuflow for river hydraulic modelling.
  • •Highly capable using ArcGIS or QGIS to deliver stormwater and/or river hydraulic modelling projects.
  • •Strong ability to interpret and manipulate geospatial datasets for hydraulic modelling and to produce professional client-ready reports and presentations.
  • •Masters/Bachelors Degree in Water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering (or similar) and preferred professional body membership/chartered status.
