Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare and develop instrumentation conceptual, FEED, studies, and detail design drawings to a high technical standard.
  • •Develop 3D models and ensure clash-free designs with other disciplines.
  • •Ensure design deliverables are issued per project specifications, MDR, and Level 2 & 3 procedures within schedule and budget requirements.
  • •As Lead Designer, direct the instrumentation design team, lead project activities, coordinate discipline interfaces, and plan scope/deliverables/resources.
  • •Perform design verification (SDS/IDC), manage holds/change notifications, support audits and design reviews, and travel to fabrication/construction sites as required.

Key Requirements

  • •High School graduate with a diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Design, or Drafting in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • •10 years minimum with a major contractor or consultant, including 5+ years in predominately oil and gas.
  • •Detailed knowledge of associated industry detailing standards and codes; detailed knowledge of 2D and/or 3D drafting and material control systems (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).
  • •Minimum 1 or 2 projects working experience in E3D and/or S3D; capable of leading projects.
  • •Knowledge of QA systems and project coordination/execution; detailed knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Auto Lisp programming; 3D model creation, menu and/or macro compilation skills.
