Job Summary

Drive end-to-end innovation concept creation for On’s footwear and product ecosystem, partnering with athletes and science teams to translate athlete performance and data into breakthrough designs. Own projects from bold visions through implementation, using advanced 2D/3D design, computational and digital creation tools, and prototyping workflows. Collaborate with Zurich- and Vietnam-based development teams and travel 2–4 times per year to bring future-defining concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities

•Be a key player in the Innovation Design Studio, pushing the boundaries of On’s design and technology platforms.
•Own projects from bold visions through successful implementation of innovation concepts.
•Collaborate with athletes and science teams to elevate data-driven footwear design and innovation.
•Leverage progressive 2D and 3D design to co-create and co-define On’s design vision.
•Co-develop advanced prototyping workflows and partner with Zurich- and Vietnam-based development teams, traveling 2–4 times per year.

Key Requirements

•Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in product/industrial design and/or design engineering.
•5+ years’ experience delivering innovation solutions for global innovation teams, preferably in footwear.
•Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication and presentation skills to break down complex problems.
•Deep knowledge of advanced materials and manufacturing processes, with eagerness to experiment and pioneer new technologies.
•Excellent 3D and prototyping skills, with computational design knowledge and AI fluency as a plus.
