Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and continuously improve the operating model for Legal, including identifying work that should be handled by lawyers, automated, or eliminated.
  • •Build intelligent intake, triage, workflow, and knowledge systems to resolve routine legal questions quickly and consistently.
  • •Partner with technical and business teams to identify legal friction and create scalable processes with minimal bureaucracy.
  • •Own legal technology strategy and operational systems (contracting, knowledge management, matter management, e-billing, entity management) based on the underlying problem.
  • •Own the legal team’s budget and outside counsel relationships; negotiate fees and track performance using dashboards and operating rhythms.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience in legal operations or business operations, responsible for improving how a complex organization works.
  • •Experience inside a rapidly growing technology company is strongly preferred.
  • •Comfort with both strategy and execution, including designing systems, workflows, and decision-making processes.
  • •Understand the mechanics of running a sophisticated legal function (budgets, outside counsel, legal technology, contracting systems, planning, metrics) without being attached to traditional methods.
  • •Deep curiosity about AI and how it can change professional work.
