Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute scheduled corrective maintenance and major repairs to optimize production and minimize downtime for quality fabrication and ironworks.
  • •Attend ironworks-related problems during breakdowns and resolve issues to defined quality standards.
  • •Prepare tools and tackles before job execution, and communicate any abnormalities found during execution.
  • •Inspect equipment to meet engineering principles and safety regulations within defined quality standards.
  • •Lead a group of technicians/welders during shutdown fabrication and ironworks activities; act as supervisor when required.

Key Requirements

  • •ITI in Welding/Fabricator trade.
  • •Knowledge of various welding methods (Arc welding, MIG, TIG welding, copper welding, stainless steel welding) and gas cutting.
  • •Knowledge of development and fabrication work, including dye penetrant testing for crack identification.
  • •Understanding of engineering drawings and welding symbols.
  • •7–8 years experience in mechanical maintenance of a steel plant as a Sr. Technician (fabrication/welding) or 5 years as a technician/fabricator/welder in heavy industry.
