Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare purchased scrap using a burning torch while ensuring compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • •Examine unprepared scrap for conformance with company standards and cut scrap using appropriate tools and equipment when it does not meet specifications.
  • •Maintain a torching environment conducive to fire control and seek additional assistance if first efforts fail.
  • •Operate and monitor torching-related equipment, regulators, cleaners, and hoses; detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors for repair.
  • •Support internal control responsibilities by communicating and complying with internal controls and reporting operational problems or policy violations.

Key Requirements
