Job Summary

Lead enterprise voice engineering for an active migration from Cisco CUCM to Microsoft Teams Voice. Own voice architecture design (Direct Routing, Calling Plans, hybrid scenarios), configure and optimize Session Border Controllers, and troubleshoot complex call quality and signaling issues. Ensure network readiness for Teams Voice by supporting QoS, bandwidth, latency, and LAN/WAN voice traffic. Partner with vendors, carriers, and Microsoft/Cisco support to establish operational standards, monitoring, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the migration from Cisco CUCM to Microsoft Teams Voice.
•Design voice architecture including Direct Routing, Calling Plans, and hybrid scenarios.
•Provide expert support for Microsoft Teams Voice and Cisco CUCM components (Unity Connection, CCX, gateways, SIP integrations) during transition.
•Configure, manage, and optimize Session Border Controllers (SBCs) and maintain dial plans, call routing, normalization rules, and number porting strategies.
•Ensure enterprise network readiness for Teams Voice by supporting QoS, bandwidth planning, latency optimization, and configuring/troubleshooting VLANs, QoS, routing, and switching.

Key Requirements

•Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Voice, preferably Direct Routing.
•Extensive experience supporting Cisco CUCM in large enterprise environments.
•Deep understanding of SIP, VoIP, RTP, TLS, and telephony signaling.
•Proven experience leading or architecting voice migration projects.
•Strong networking fundamentals (QoS, VLANs, routing, switching) with advanced troubleshooting across voice and network layers.
