Key Responsibilities

•Lead and grow a frontend team of 6–10 engineers across web, iOS, and Android, fostering craft, cross‑platform collaboration, and continuous improvement.
•Evolve and extend the UX for Zillow’s AI Mode across platforms, owning sprint planning, roadmap execution, and cross‑team coordination to enhance a high‑visibility product experience.
•Develop and coach engineers, providing feedback, supporting career growth, and creating a clear path for advancement.
•Partner with product, design, AI/ML, and peer engineering teams to align on requirements and establish consistent UX principles across platforms.
•Drive production of integrated agentic experiences through influence and collaboration, shaping AI-native development and adoption of AI coding tools.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 206,700 - 330,300 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of software engineering experience, including frontend development for web (React, TypeScript, CSS) and/or mobile (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin, or cross-platform frameworks)
•3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams with a track record of developing and retaining engineers
•Experience building or managing teams that work on AI-powered or agentic applications, including familiarity with multimodal input/output (text, voice, images) and streaming UX patterns
•Experience leading cross-platform frontend teams and navigating trade-offs between platform-native and shared-component approaches
•A people-first leader with technical credibility in frontend development and a strong focus on UX quality across web and mobile surfaces
