Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including follow-up repairs.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair trailer systems (e.g., brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps, liftgates) and truck equipment (e.g., electrical, cooling, steering, engines, transmissions).
  • •Use test instruments and road tests to inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot defective equipment; apply sound judgment to determine appropriate alternatives.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and operate/maintain the company service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair documentation (including pictures and repair orders) using a company-issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application; communicate with clients, management, and support team.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as education/certification plus 3 years’ experience, or 7 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Ability to comply with DOT regulations, including passing a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
  • •A current and valid DOT medical card (or ability to obtain a DOT physical when required) and must be at least 21 years or older.
  • •Hold a valid driver’s license for their state of residence and be able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
