Job Summary

Lead geotechnical investigations, analysis, design, and consulting services for infrastructure and development projects in Southland. Prepare and review technical reports, design documentation, proposals, and fee estimates, while managing safe, on-time, on-budget project delivery. Build trusted client relationships, provide technical guidance and thought leadership, and support business development, planning, resource management, and continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead geotechnical investigations, analysis, design, and consulting services across infrastructure and development projects.
•Prepare and review technical reports, design documentation, proposals, fee estimates, and project briefs.
•Manage project delivery to ensure safe completion, on-time delivery, budget adherence, and required quality standards.
•Provide technical guidance and thought leadership to support the growth of WSP’s geotechnical capability.
•Develop client relationships and support business development activities including expressions of interest, proposals, and client engagement.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
•At least 8 years of consultancy experience within geotechnical engineering.
•Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or actively working towards chartership.
•Strong technical capability across geotechnical investigations, analysis, design, and reporting.
•Experience managing projects and preparing proposals to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
