Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and their families at assigned military installations.
  • •Provide one-on-one counseling, consultations with commanders or providers, briefings/presentations, and referral resources outside counseling sessions.
  • •Assist service members with establishing spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials, and coordinate publicize and deliver personal financial management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider associate degree plus 4 years' experience or high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Must have one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
  • •Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI process.
