Job Summary

Supervise on-site Logging-While-Drilling (LWD) operations under broad direction, including tool preparation, data acquisition, log generation, and quality control. Serve as lead engineer on most jobs to ensure accurate, timely service data and to communicate expected data and potential issues to customers. Provide technical consultation on mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, and directional survey requirements, while completing reports and supporting daily LWD deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide on-site supervision of the LWD process, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation, and quality control (QC).
•Serve as lead engineer on most jobs, ensuring delivered services meet service quality standards.
•Provide technical consultation on mud hydraulics, Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, and BHA dynamics.
•Test tools and equipment before, during, and after each job; identify and correct operational problems to minimize service impact.
•Complete required forms, databases, and reports and ensure daily LWD reporting is shared with client drilling teams and the MWD coordinator.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of field experience in LWD.
•Proficiency with LWD software and ability to provide advice and analysis to the client representative at the well site.
•Ability to read and interpret formation well logs and interpret directional survey information and other well site data.
•Completion of a basic M/LWD training program.
•Must possess relevant on and offshore safety certificates.
