Senior Tunnelling Engineer joining WSP in Mississauga to lead the design and delivery of tunnelling, slope stability, and underground excavation projects. Key Responsibilities

•Lead the design and delivery of tunnelling, slope stability, and underground excavation projects from concept through construction
•Deliver geotechnical solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and long-term performance
•Oversee geological investigations, alignment studies, and advanced geo-structural and numerical analyses
•Guide multidisciplinary collaboration across geotechnical, structural, and environmental teams
•Mentor and develop junior engineers, strengthening technical capability and knowledge sharing

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 122,100 - 179,100 annually

Key Requirements

•10–15 years of experience in rock mechanics, tunnelling, and underground design within a consulting environment
•Degree in Geological, Mining, or Civil Engineering (Master’s degree considered an asset)
•Proven experience delivering large-scale tunnelling and underground infrastructure projects
•Strong expertise in excavation support design in rock environments (tunnels, shafts, slopes, stabilization systems)
•Advanced proficiency with numerical modelling tools (e.g., RS2/RS3, PLAXIS, GeoStudio or similar)
