Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and delivery of tunnelling, slope stability, and underground excavation projects from concept through construction
  • •Deliver geotechnical solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and long-term performance
  • •Oversee geological investigations, alignment studies, and advanced geo-structural and numerical analyses
  • •Guide multidisciplinary collaboration across geotechnical, structural, and environmental teams
  • •Mentor and develop junior engineers, strengthening technical capability and knowledge sharing

Salary: CAD 122,100 - 179,100 annually

Key Requirements

  • •10–15 years of experience in rock mechanics, tunnelling, and underground design within a consulting environment
  • •Degree in Geological, Mining, or Civil Engineering (Master’s degree considered an asset)
  • •Proven experience delivering large-scale tunnelling and underground infrastructure projects
  • •Strong expertise in excavation support design in rock environments (tunnels, shafts, slopes, stabilization systems)
  • •Advanced proficiency with numerical modelling tools (e.g., RS2/RS3, PLAXIS, GeoStudio or similar)
