Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide age-specific, patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process, including direct patient assessment and continual critical care assessments.
  • •Coordinate and plan critical care/clinical pathways, prioritize care based on individual needs, and initiate appropriate transfer plans.
  • •Involve patients, significant others, and health care providers in the plan of care when appropriate, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • •Document all relevant data in the medical record according to hospital/departmental standards and maintain unit supplies and equipment.
  • •Perform and assist Heart Center procedures, including ECG, Pulse Wave Volume Recording (ABI/TBI), Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram support, Tilt Table tests, Bubble tests, and support during stress tests/echocardiograms with contrast.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in nursing with full-time course duration of at least three (3) years, or a Nursing degree of at least two (2) years.
  • •Registered Nurse registration/licensure in their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable).
  • •Minimum of two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience in Cardiology nursing or a Heart Center.
  • •Must hold a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or others per scope of practice), and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is essential.
  • •Knowledge of providing age-appropriate care and assessing patients' physical and psychological needs, coordinating and prioritizing care.
