Key Responsibilities

  • •Support ground investigations and geoscience surveys, including collecting geological, geophysical, and geotechnical data.
  • •Assist in interpreting data to understand ground conditions and identify potential geohazards.
  • •Learn to use field equipment and digital tools for mapping, modelling, and analysis.
  • •Help prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation for internal teams and clients.
  • •Participate in site visits, inspections, and data-gathering activities across different site locations, working with survey and engineering disciplines.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above, including Maths, English, and a science subject.
  • •Three A-Levels (or equivalent) at grade B or above, preferably including a science subject such as Geology, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, or Maths (required for Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship).
  • •Genuine interest in geology, earth sciences, infrastructure, or site survey/investigation work.
  • •Some exposure to fieldwork, environmental, or construction settings (work shadowing preferred).
  • •Ability to work well independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a strong attention to detail and communication skills; full UK driving licence (manual vehicles).
