Key Responsibilities

  • •Build API based products from the ground up and design low-latency, high-reliability APIs for leaderboards, models, and arenas.
  • •Solve streaming challenges with SSE/streaming responses across heterogeneous providers, including recovery and normalization.
  • •Ship enterprise-grade infrastructure with rate limiting, authentication, usage metering, cost attribution, audit logging, and SOC2 compliance.
  • •Build deep observability through distributed tracing, latency breakdowns, token-level usage tracking, and real-time dashboards.
  • •Collaborate with researchers to integrate Arena data and customer benchmarks, and contribute across the backend stack as needed.

Salary: USD 200,000 - 350,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems, infrastructure, or developer-facing platforms
  • •Strong proficiency in Go and/or Rust with hands-on experience building high-throughput APIs or proxy/gateway systems
  • •Experience with LLM provider APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) and understanding of streaming, token management, rate limits
  • •Solid cloud infrastructure skills — AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and databases like Postgres and Redis
  • •A product-oriented mindset with focus on developer experience and ability to thrive in ambiguity
