Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct an in-depth review of existing national nutrition documents, studies, surveys, and strategic frameworks to identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities.
  • •With support from an international expert, support the situation analysis report on current nutrition realities using a multisector approach.
  • •Facilitate technical consultations with nutrition-relevant sectors (health, agriculture, education, social protection, water-hygiene and sanitation).
  • •Draft evidence-based versions of the National Nutrition Strategic Plan and integrate recent WHO recommendations, aligned to national priorities.
  • •Develop and finalize the national standardized protocol for severe acute malnutrition prevention, identification, clinical management, referral, follow-up, and validation workshops with the Ministry of Health and partners.

Salary: USD 3,172 monthly

Key Requirements

  • •At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in nutrition, public health, and development of national nutrition policies/plans or multisector program frameworks.
  • •Proven experience in the prevention and clinical management of severe acute malnutrition, including revising or developing clinical protocols, technical directives, or normative documents aligned with WHO recommendations.
  • •Experience in situation analysis, facilitating technical consultations, and organizing validation workshops, ideally in a national or sub-regional context.
  • •A university degree in public health, nutrition, social policy, or a related field (MPH or health policy doctorate desirable).
  • •Demonstrated ability in evidence-based drafting of strategic documents and clinical protocols, with strong analytical, synthesis, communication, and results-orientation skills.
