Job Summary

Build and modernize low-latency, high-availability cloud infrastructure for the Exchange Platform, helping ensure performance and portability across a fast-moving ecosystem. Lead the transition of services to containerized environments, drive backend integration between Bitstamp and Robinhood infrastructure, and improve platform performance using automation. Own complex initiatives end-to-end, collaborate cross-functionally, and participate in an on-call rotation to maintain 24/7 reliability.

Key Responsibilities

•Architect and implement high-availability, low-latency cloud infrastructure to ensure performance and portability across the ecosystem.
•Lead modernization and scaling by transitioning services to containerized environments and optimizing deployment workflows.
•Manage high-priority backend integration projects aligning Bitstamp backend with Robinhood’s global infrastructure.
•Identify and implement backend improvements to enhance platform performance and reduce operational toil through intelligent automation.
•Own complex projects end-to-end from design to deployment; participate in on-call to support 24/7 reliability.

Key Requirements

•4–5+ years of cloud engineering experience, with strong containerization skills (Docker, Kubernetes) and experience modernizing legacy architectures.
•Advanced backend knowledge with practical experience using AWS services (ECS, EC2, Aurora, DynamoDB).
•Experience managing entire projects or processes, coordinating across multiple job areas to solve difficult, multi-faceted problems.
•Ability to balance automation initiatives with necessary day-to-day operational tasks in a stable system.
•Strong communication skills to guide and coach others and influence technical stakeholders to reach agreements.
