Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect and implement high-availability, low-latency cloud infrastructure to ensure performance and portability across the ecosystem.
  • •Lead modernization and scaling by transitioning services to containerized environments and optimizing deployment workflows.
  • •Manage high-priority backend integration projects aligning Bitstamp backend with Robinhood’s global infrastructure.
  • •Identify and implement backend improvements to enhance platform performance and reduce operational toil through intelligent automation.
  • •Own complex projects end-to-end from design to deployment; participate in on-call to support 24/7 reliability.

Key Requirements

  • •4–5+ years of cloud engineering experience, with strong containerization skills (Docker, Kubernetes) and experience modernizing legacy architectures.
  • •Advanced backend knowledge with practical experience using AWS services (ECS, EC2, Aurora, DynamoDB).
  • •Experience managing entire projects or processes, coordinating across multiple job areas to solve difficult, multi-faceted problems.
  • •Ability to balance automation initiatives with necessary day-to-day operational tasks in a stable system.
  • •Strong communication skills to guide and coach others and influence technical stakeholders to reach agreements.
