Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, tension, tie in, and remove conductors; install, frame, and climb poles, towers, and other structures.
  • •Operate construction equipment (e.g., basket trucks, digger trucks, trenchers, backhoes) and perform equipment inspections.
  • •Restore electric service during weather or equipment failures in a safe and prompt manner.
  • •Install and maintain street and security lighting and underground electrical equipment, including cable and switchgear.
  • •Work on energized lines using live-line maintenance tools and respond to emergency callouts.

Key Requirements

  • •Successful completion of line mechanic apprenticeship.
