Job Summary

Provide non-medical, short-term Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) counseling to children of military service members and their families at NAS Whiting Field and assigned schools and community locations. Deliver assessments, brief counseling, consultations, parent guidance, and referrals, and support DoDEA/community school staff. Manage day-to-day service documentation via smartphone/web tools, present health and wellness trainings, and respond to critical incidents under DoD protocols.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide non-medical, short-term solution-focused counseling to eligible children and youth, including assessment, brief counseling, consultation, action planning, referrals, and follow-up.
•Support DoDEA/community school staff and provide parent training, guidance, and counseling services at assigned locations, including camps and on-demand assignments.
•Deliver training and health/wellness presentations and participate in health fairs and installation activities for children and youth.
•Maintain accurate daily counseling activity data using a smartphone or web application while preserving confidentiality and anonymity.
•Participate in supervision and in-services, manage duty-to-warn/restricted reporting per DoD protocol, and respond to critical incidents and special requests as directed.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 59,922 - 100,280 annually

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited graduate program.
•Valid unrestricted independent counseling license to provide counseling services as an independent practitioner.
•Minimum two years of post-licensure clinical experience.
•Intermediate technology competencies (e.g., Microsoft Suite, internet navigation, smartphone/tablet and app navigation, video-conferencing platform navigation).
•Ability to engage with military members/children and work in varied installation/school settings; US citizenship and English fluency required.
