Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform detention, processing, safeguarding, security, and escort duties as required by contract.
  • •Supervise and control detainee behavior, restraining by force if necessary using handcuffs and other restraints.
  • •Communicate effectively with detainees and staff using approved facility communication devices, including telephone system, intercom, and portable radios.
  • •Perform searches of detainees, vehicles, mail items, and areas where contraband may be concealed.
  • •Escort detainees and guard them at deportation or exclusion hearings, while enforcing facility rules and completing duties per policies and safety practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • •Maintain physical fitness standards and pass required physical testing (including lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally).
  • •Be at least 21 years of age and a US citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident who has resided in the U.S. for the last five years.
  • •Pass a criminal background and consumer credit check to obtain/maintain a DHS/ICE government clearance, and pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
  • •Possess a high school diploma or GED and a valid state driver’s license.
