Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct routine to highly complex field audits supporting the Bureau of Diplomatic Security’s Armored Vehicle (AV) Program.
  • •Gather and analyze cost data for audits and prepare audit documentation and reports for DS senior management and customers.
  • •Provide technical guidance and audit recommendations on allowable costs, reasonableness, and cost allocation.
  • •Manage procurement projects across procurement, contracting, auditing, and analysis for the AV Program, including scheduling and deliverables.
  • •Develop and refine business improvement initiatives by auditing and analyzing Department requirements and procurement process effectiveness.

Key Requirements

  • •Equivalent experience to a GS-11/GS-12, and/or 5 years’ experience in procurement, contracting, finance, or a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting.
  • •Advanced problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies found during audits.
  • •Strong oral communication skills to present audit issues in conferences and presentations.
  • •Strong organizational skills to plan audit phases and meet deadlines.
  • •Proficiency with the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project) and Adobe Acrobat.
