Job Summary

Join a hands-on, business-facing legal function as Amsterdam-based Legal Counsel supporting DroneShield’s European operations. You’ll draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements; support international corporate governance and compliance; advise on EU/UK/Australian dual-use and defence export controls; assist with licenses, sanctions screening, and cross-border processes; and help manage regulatory frameworks spanning NATO, privacy, cybersecurity, and trade compliance. Reporting to the General Counsel, you’ll collaborate across teams in Australia, the US, Europe, and the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

•Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including technology supply, distribution/reseller, government procurement tenders, and confidentiality/collaboration agreements.
•Support international corporate governance, compliance registrations, and subsidiary management.
•Advise on EU, UK, and Australian dual-use and defence export controls with internal compliance teams.
•Assist with licenses, end-user documentation, sanctions screening, and cross-border compliance processes.
•Provide guidance on regulatory frameworks for defence, security, and critical-infrastructure deployments and contribute to internal compliance frameworks.

Key Requirements

•Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction (Australia, Ireland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, New Zealand, etc.).
•Experience and understanding of EU regulatory frameworks.
•5–7+ years post-qualification experience, ideally with law firm and in-house experience.
•Strong drafting and negotiation experience for commercial contracts.
•Ability to work independently across multiple time zones and business units.
