Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise clients on cost strategies, vendor prequalification, proposal/bid assessment, bid interviews, and appointment processes.
  • •Develop and present project estimates, review junior work, recommend value engineering, and assess risks using benchmark data.
  • •Establish cost reporting schedules, review cost reports and forecasts, maintain a commercial risk register, and host periodic project/vendor meetings.
  • •Manage cost control including payment application assessment, contractor entitlements recommendations, reviewing change orders, and supporting dispute prevention/management/resolution.
  • •Oversee invoicing, benchmarking, final accounting and post-contract audits, post-contract reviews, and handover procedure development.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large construction projects.
  • •Strong construction industry knowledge, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering, plus strong communication skills.
