Job Summary

Learn and build tooling for fastener manufacturing as part of the toolroom team in Decorah, IA. You’ll work with blueprints, gages, and inspection equipment to make header and secondary tooling, maintain backup tooling, and support production by meeting print tolerances. Follow ISO/IATF 16949 and SPC procedures, keep work areas safe and clean, and perform preventative maintenance while assisting operators with tooling needs.

•Under supervision, learn to read blueprints and use gages and toolroom equipment to make and rework header and secondary tooling.
•Make header tooling and setups to die prints with minimal supervision to meet quality and productivity requirements.
•Maintain backup tooling to eliminate header downtime and support production efficiencies.
•Select and prepare tools to meet print tolerances, and use toolroom inspection equipment.
•Follow schedules, ISO/IATF 16949 and SPC procedures, safety guidelines, and perform preventative maintenance; assist operators as needed.

Key Requirements
