Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the full sales cycle from self-sourced pipeline to close for Mercury working capital products (term loans and rolling lines) for $20M–$500M revenue brands.
  • •Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline via self-prospecting, outbound campaigns, and strategic networking.
  • •Conduct deep discovery to understand growth trajectory, cash flow patterns, and capital needs, then partner with underwriting to structure compelling credit-sound offers.
  • •Sell internally as well as externally by building consensus across underwriting and the executive team to move deals forward without cutting corners on credit quality.
  • •Manage long, multi-stakeholder deal cycles with founders, CFOs, and lenders/banking relationships; negotiate deal terms balancing growth ambition with credit discipline.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of quota-carrying experience closing credit, lending, or capital products (fintech lender, bank business/commercial lending, or similar working-capital provider).
  • •Track record closing deals with businesses generating meaningful revenue ($20M+), ideally in ecommerce or adjacent industries.
  • •Comfort with credit fundamentals, including cash flow, underwriting considerations, and deal structuring beyond product features.
  • •Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles requiring internal alignment (underwriting, credit committee, leadership) as well as external persuasion.
  • •Ability to self-source pipeline through outbound, networking, and relationship-building (not just inbound leads).
