Key Responsibilities

  • •Take ownership of complex product assemblies and sub-systems from early concept to production, ensuring performance, safety, reliability, quality, cost and timing.
  • •Translate ambiguous problems into clear design requirements, specifications and interfaces for interdependent systems and assemblies.
  • •Create, evaluate and develop design concepts through analysis, prototyping, testing and data-led decision making.
  • •Identify and mitigate technical risks early, and drive issues to closure with sound engineering judgement.
  • •Build and learn from functional prototypes, using test results and engineering insight to improve performance, robustness and user experience.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent technical discipline
  • •4+ years of product design and development experience
  • •Strong mechanical design experience across plastics, rubber, metal or other engineered materials with practical understanding of DFM, DFA, GD&T and tolerance analysis
  • •Practical knowledge of 3D CAD, 2D engineering drawings, tolerance stack-up and design documentation for development and production release
  • •Experience defining and managing requirements, specifications, interfaces and design trade-offs throughout development process
