Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide Human Factors support across project teams and business lines, advocating for user-centric design to optimize operator performance and user acceptance.
  • •Create task analyses and user workflows, and plan, conduct, and report usability testing throughout a program lifecycle.
  • •Conduct heuristic analyses, human performance testing, and human factors analyses including function allocation, workload assessment, and human error analysis (HEA).
  • •Develop and execute usability studies/cognitive walkthroughs and human-in-the-loop (HITL) evaluations to inform design decisions.
  • •Apply and document Human Systems Integration (HSI) work, including authoring HSI Program Plans and ensuring compliance with MIL-STD-1472, MIL-HDBK-46855, and relevant DoD standards; collaborate to integrate requirements into design specifications and ICDs.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years of experience as a Human Factors Engineer, Ergonomics Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or Test Engineer.
  • •M.S. degree in Human Factors Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Applied Experimental Psychology, I/O Psychology, Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
  • •Experience with MIL-STD-1472, MIL-STD-46855, and MIL-STD-882.
  • •Experience conducting task analyses/workflow analyses and user research/ethnographic observation.
  • •Experience planning, conducting, and reporting user testing using multiple research methodologies and qualitative/quantitative data.
