Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide expert HR advice on performance matters, from informal coaching to formal performance management and disciplinary processes.
  • •Manage a caseload of performance cases, including underperformance and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
  • •Draft and quality-check performance documentation, including outcome letters and formal warnings.
  • •Coach People Leaders on best-practice performance conversations, especially in emotionally complex and confidential situations.
  • •Use case insights and data to identify trends and recommend proactive interventions to improve performance practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Hands-on experience managing performance and disciplinary cases, including drafting PIPs and formal outcome documentation.
  • •Knowledge of employment legislation in New Zealand or Australia, including procedural fairness for performance management.
  • •Experience coaching and training People Leaders on best-practice performance conversations.
  • •Ability to balance legal, commercial, and people considerations to recommend practical and proportionate solutions.
  • •Comfort working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while aligning global consistency with local nuance.
