Job Summary

Design, deploy, and operate hosted infrastructure to deliver high availability, performance, and security. Work with co-location partners and engineering teams on server, network, and hosting equipment deployment, including documentation, monitoring, automation, and ITIL-based operational processes. Provide technical support on a 24x7 on-call rota, troubleshoot integration issues, and consult with technical stakeholders (including customers) across the solutions lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

•Design cage, rack, and server layouts with co-location partners and ensure ongoing provision of space, power, and cooling for hosted solutions.
•Provision and deploy server, network, and hosting-related equipment, including hands-on build and configuration as required.
•Deploy and integrate new applications/changes, ensuring components are documented, monitored, and integrated into operational processes.
•Administer and maintain hosted solutions and infrastructure (firewalls, switches, servers, storage), proactively identifying/fixing incidents and managing backups.
•Provide technical support via a 24x7 on-call rota, troubleshoot integration issues, automate hosting-related processes, and consult with technical stakeholders (including customers).

Key Requirements

•Strong hands-on experience with server hosting infrastructure (e.g., data center), ideally including Cisco UCS blades management.
•Hands-on storage/SAN deployment and (ideally) management with EMC Unity, Data Domain, and Avamar (and Dell).
•Hands-on networking deployment/management with Cisco Nexus 7000/9000, ASA Firewalls, F5 LTM, and DNS load balancers, plus Active Directory/Windows administration experience.
•Hands-on VMware deployment/management experience (VMware 6.x/7.x/8).
•Linux (RHEL 7.x) and Windows domain/AD management experience, with strong troubleshooting and scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Puppet, Ansible, Python).
