Job Summary

Install and terminate low-voltage AV and network cabling for AVI-SPL contracted projects, including rack fabrication, equipment layout, and system wiring. Lead and coordinate on less complex installations by interpreting schematics/blueprints, testing point-to-point functionality, tracking and securing tools and materials, and providing daily status updates. Act as the on-site customer liaison and assist with technician quality oversight, training, and coordination with other trades, with required travel to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform AV installation tasks including cable pulls/terminations, equipment and components setup, and rack fabrication and wiring.
•Lead and direct installation crews on less complex projects by coordinating with the Project Manager to meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction targets.
•Read and interpret system schematics and construction/architectural blueprints; use hand and power tools for connector and cabling work.
•Test and verify point-to-point cabling and system functionality; track and secure equipment and tools on the jobsite.
•Serve as on-site customer liaison, communicate daily status to the Project Manager, and coordinate change requests and with other trades; travel to customer sites as required.

Key Requirements

•2–4 years of audiovisual installation experience.
•Intermediate proficiency installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) including conduit runs and cable trays.
•Intermediate ability to diagnose and resolve issues with audiovisual equipment and systems.
•Ability to interpret project system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints.
•Valid driver’s license and an MVR that meets AVI-SPL driving standards; minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
