Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate and assist pharmacy services, including dispensing medications and participating in quality assurance and clinical monitoring.
  • •Review and enter prescription orders accurately; verify prescription data for completeness and accuracy.
  • •Conduct drug utilization reviews and evaluate prescription appropriateness for dosage, drug choice, interactions, route, and stability.
  • •Provide patient counseling, education, and monitoring; assess responses to therapy, compliance, and adverse events.
  • •Supervise pharmacy filling/compounding/dispensing activities and maintain patient chart documentation, including allergies, medical history, medications, and lab results.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and 3+ years of mail order, retail or hospital pharmacy experience OR a Pharm D.
  • •Current state pharmacist license and ability to hold active pharmacist licenses at the other required states (FL, TX, MO, CA, or MI).
  • •Ensure patients receive the right medication and address drug therapy issues prior to dispensing.
  • •Provide patient counseling and education regarding medications and treatment plans.
  • •Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
