Job Summary

Provide emergency department medical care as a General Practitioner, including initial assessment and reassessment of all ER patients, urgent case triage, and immediate diagnosis and treatment when needed. Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records, provide patient health counseling, and deliver on-call emergency coverage. Participate in duty rosters, continuing medical education, and professional/hospital meetings to support ongoing development of emergency services and the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform professional duties as a General Practitioner in the Emergency Department according to credentialing privileges.
•Conduct assessment and reassessment for all ER patients, including determining urgent treatment needs and extending rapid treatment as needed.
•Render immediate judgment and treatment upon request during emergency situations, and coordinate with the correct consultant for additional guidance.
•Complete all medical records and case histories promptly, ensuring medical accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality, and provide health counseling.
•Provide on-call emergency coverage, participate in duty rosters and continuing medical education, and attend professional and hospital meetings.

Key Requirements

•Graduation from an approved medical school, plus 1 year of internship and 2 years of residency training in a recognized residency program.
•3 years of experience as a General Practitioner.
•Current licensure in country of origin and a DHA license to practice in Dubai, UAE.
•Excellent command of oral and written English; knowledge of Arabic is desirable but not essential.
•ACLS or ATLS certification, with strong communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with patients, families, and coworkers.
