Job Summary

Join the RTX Technology Research Center (RTRC) ACS team under the AI discipline to develop and extend state-of-the-art autonomous capabilities. You’ll design and implement algorithms for sensing/perception, decision-making, and human-autonomy teaming, prototype and simulate autonomous systems, and support live or simulation autonomy demonstrations. You’ll also communicate results through technical papers and presentations while working on real-world aerospace, manufacturing, and defense problems.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and develop algorithms for perception, decision-making, human-machine collaboration, networked and teamed systems, and autonomous platforms.
•Prototype and simulate autonomous systems by writing code, developing software (simulation and visualization), and interfacing software/hardware for real-time autonomy demos.
•Support demonstrations across live, virtual, and simulation test environments.
•Disseminate research results through reports, conference proceedings, presentations, invention discourses, and technical papers.
•Apply and extend state-of-the-art AI approaches to sensing/perception, task and motion planning, reasoning, and robot learning.

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Robotics, Computational Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Mathematics, or related field, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience.
•Experience working with autonomous systems and AI, including perception, deep/reinforcement/machine learning, robotics, and dynamics/control, along with modeling and simulation.
•Experience applying AI techniques to solve real-world problems.
•Languages/frameworks: Python and C++, plus cloud computing and configuration management.
•Broad awareness of advances in intelligent autonomous systems.
