•Provide high quality industry research and generate ideas for topics to improve department profitability
•Support the bank’s marketing effort by identifying potential customers and supporting development of new products and services
•Assess industry rationale and provide risk/return analysis of corporates transactions using sector expertise and financial models
•Drive contacts with the bank’s EMEA branches and Tokyo, coordinating transaction/research projects across global CRSD operations
•Identify and attend relevant industry events to update knowledge and build relations with management teams, consultants and ratings agencies

•Degree (2.1 or above) from a top institution; most staff have an additional qualification in finance or related subject

•Excellent understanding of financial statement analysis, accounting/reporting standards, and strong financial modelling
•Good interpersonal skills and gravitas, with the ability to influence senior management decision making
•Foreign languages (European and/or Japanese) for better communication with EMEA/global branches is beneficial
