Job Summary

Lead treasury accounting and foreign exchange accounting within Mastercard’s GBSC shared services organization, overseeing US GAAP/IFRS compliance across cash, investments, and currency-related transactions. Manage monthly/quarterly/annual close activities, review complex journal entries, reconcile GL accounts, and support disclosures and audits. Partner with Treasury, Technical Accounting, Financial Systems, and FP&A to improve processes through automation and strengthen internal controls while providing coaching to accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead treasury accounting and foreign exchange accounting processes and ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and company policies.
•Manage monthly/quarterly/annual accounting close activities for cash, investments, foreign currency transactions, intercompany funding, and treasury-related accounts.
•Review and approve complex journal entries and transactions involving foreign currency remeasurement, translation adjustments, and intercompany settlements.
•Oversee treasury and foreign exchange disclosures, footnotes, roll-forward schedules, and supporting documentation for internal and external reporting.
•Provide leadership by coaching accounting professionals while driving process improvements, risk remediation, and internal controls across treasury accounting operations.

Key Requirements

•CPA required; bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
•7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including treasury accounting, foreign currency accounting, controllership, and financial reporting.
•Strong technical knowledge of foreign currency accounting, treasury accounting, and financial instruments under US GAAP and IFRS.
•Experience accounting for foreign currency transactions, remeasurement, translation adjustments, and multinational environments.
•Experience with ERP/treasury and financial reporting tools (e.g., Oracle EBS/Fusion, REVAL, SAP, AtlasFX, Bloomberg).
