Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide hands-on technical leadership for C++ components across grid automation software platforms, influencing design, implementation, and long-term maintainability.
  • •Contribute to architecture decisions for scalability, performance, reliability, and security across distributed and on-prem/hybrid deployments.
  • •Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality mission-critical C++ software across the full software lifecycle, including production support.
  • •Champion software quality through automated testing, static analysis, and rigorous code reviews; support release readiness via defect triage and root-cause analysis.
  • •Mentor and guide other engineers through technical guidance and design reviews while collaborating with product owners, SMEs, and global teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • •8+ years of professional C++ development experience, including modern C++ (C++17 and newer).
  • •Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining large, complex, long-lived software systems.
  • •Solid understanding of object-oriented design/architecture, multithreading and concurrency, performance optimization and memory management, and debugging complex runtime issues.
  • •Ability to work in Windows-based environments and to lead technically without direct authority; fluent in English and French and legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
